OOFOS – FEEL THE OO!

We are MEGA excited to announce the arrival of our new recovery footwear – OOFOS!

OOFOS footwear is ideally suited to athletes, people who spend a lot of the day on their feet or those individuals with painful foot conditions such as plantar fasciitis!

WHY OOFOS?

OOFOS footwear makes yOO feel better. Through a combination of our own impact-reducing foam and patented foot-bed design, OOFOS footwear delivers post-race and post-training RECOVERY that will allow your feet to recover quicker, so you can go for longer

Made with proprietary OOfoam® technology, OOFOS footwear absorbs 37% more impact than traditional foam footwear materials for the perfect blend of cushion and stability.

The use of the proprietary technology in conjunction with our patented footbed allows the shoes to cradle and support the foot’s arches for more even distribution of pressure across the sole of the foot. The combination has also shown to reduce energy exertion in the ankles by up to 47% when compared to traditional footwear. Our APMA certificate further underlines how OOFOS footwear interacts and benefits the human body when compared to traditional footwear.

Runners’ feet endure the brunt of the repetitive pounding of the sport and it is no surprise that pain and long-term injuries can occur if you don’t recover effectively. Conditions such as Plantar Fasciitis, Stress Fracture and Extensor Tendonitis can develop.

Nearly every runner knows the plantar fascia tendon that runs lengthwise across the bottom of the foot. Plantar fasciitis is that sharp, stabbing pain at the bottom of your foot. As with all tendonitis issues, the beast can rear its ugly head sometimes out of nowhere and drag on for what feels like an eternity.

OOFOS customers have reported relief from the pain associated with Plantar Fasciitis. This is due to the increased impact absorption our shoes provide and the patented biomechanically engineered footbed that helps increase circulation and provides superior arch support. The material flexes with your foot and the surface you are walking on simultaneously, relieving pressure and cushioning your feet.

Every useful watt of power you generate while cycling is transferred to your bike through the bottom of your feet. Foot pain, in particular arch pain, is common, and heel soreness can be caused by ill-fitting footwear or incorrect cleat position; equally, it may be the result of an underlying foot condition such as plantar fasciitis or a biomechanical issue.

Hiking involves walking and often walking long distances, sometimes with a heavy pack on. This means repeated impacts through your foot. Obvious, right? Well, it is very likely that the muscles and tendons under the foot will get stressed, and in some cases over-worked.

There is nothing quite as frustrating for the long distance hiker than having painful, swollen and aching feet as this can shorten your well-planned hike or climb. Conditions such as Plantar Fasciitis can easily develop. Plantar fasciitis is that sharp, stabbing pain at the bottom of your foot. As with all tendonitis issues, the beast can rear its ugly head sometimes out of nowhere and drag on for what feels like an eternity.

WHAT ABOUT PAINFUL FEET?

OOFOS is so much more than just Recovery for Sports. Anyone who spends their day on their feet, or suffers from a foot-pain condition like Plantar Fasciitis will understand what OOFOS delivers. While we believe OOFOS provides outstanding Recovery performance for runners and active people, OOFOS is for everyone. The OOFOS Mission and Promise at OOFOS is to Make yOO feel better!

OOFOAM Technology

OOFOS’ proprietary OOfoam technology and patented footbed work together to allow the foot to operate without restriction. Traditional & performance footwear, as well as man-made surfaces like concrete, tile, etc. introduce our feet to unnatural substances, causing stress to our joints and unnatural foot & ankle movement. OOFOS places the foot in the most natural position – as if it were walking on a natural surface like grass or compact sand.

OOfoam technology …

● Absorbs 37% more impact than traditional performance foams.

● Has a slow rebound, while most performance shoes have a fast response to get you off of the ground.

● Reduces ankle power req’d to walk by 34% over traditional EVA performance foams

● Is proprietary to OOFOS. It’s like the Coca-Cola formula, it wasn’t patented so that it wouldn’t be available on the public domain. SY Lee is the only person in the world that knows the OOfoam chemical compound.

PATENTED FOOTBED

The OOFOS footbed is the only part of the shoe that is patented.

The footbed puts the foot in a natural position that allows weight to evenly distribute among the surface of the shoe in all directions.

The bottom curved shape takes pressure off of the heel and under the foot, therefore making it easier to walk and enable natural motion. It is not a traditional rocker bottom, but acts much in the same way due to the elevated arch and rounded toe/heel.

Due to OOFOAM being a more absorbent foam, the support in the footbed caresses each individual’s’ arch without feeling unnatural. Each step will soften the tissues on the underside of the arch and allow the plantar fascia muscle to elongate and stretch out, therefore helping to reduce stress on the tissue.

Other brands may use a similar footbed to the patented OOFOS footbed shape, but it will not feel as good as OOFOS because of our OOFOAM. The OOFOAM and the footbed combination is what makes OOFOS unique.
