We are open again on Monday 4th January 2021.
We remain open through the latest lockdown...Please be advised you can still attend our clinics for your appointment. Appointments at The Vale Foot Clinic are categorised as medical appointments which mean you can still travel from your homes to be treated at our clinic. Both of our clinics in Dinas Powys and Barry remain open to our patients and within our clinics we continue to ensure the safety of both our patients and our staff by wearing full PPE and following strict infection control procedures. Hand sanitiser is available within both of our clinics, whilst we have a 'Track and Trace' COVID 19 QR code allowing you to check in to our Barry clinic upon your arrival with your smart phone. All surfaces are regularly cleaned and patient numbers are limited to reduce the risk of cross infection.
As before we ask you to wear a face mask and to arrive 'on time' for your appointment - not early to avoid patient cross over. Please do not attend your appointment if you have any COVID 19 symptoms such as:
- a high temperature
- a new, continuous cough
- a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste
- or if you have been asked to self isolate
NEW PATIENTS AND EXISTING PATIENTS CAN CONTINUE TO BOOK APPOINTMENTS BY USING OUR ONLINE BOOKING SYSTEM, BY CONTACTING US ON FACEBOOK OR WHATSAPP OR BY CALLING THE CLINIC ON 01446 677117.

Musculoskeletal Appointments
We offer a 40 minute ‘Heel Pain’ appointment for patients who are suffering from pain in their foot and/or ankle. Such pain is usually associated with conditions such as plantar fasciitis and achilles tendinopathy.
We also offer extended, hour long, musculoskeletal appointments for patients where pain is located above the ankle, where a deeper investigation of symptoms and patient biomechanics is required or when the pain is the result of a sporting injury or accident.
All patients who would like to book a ‘Heel Pain’ appointment must first use our online assessment tool to check whether their condition can be treated in our ‘Heel Pain’ clinic.
Ingrown toenails
Treatment for toenails that have grown into the surrounding skin. Big toes are often affected, either on one or both sides. Nails curl and pierce the skin, which becomes red, swollen and tender.
Verruca
A full consultation and assessment along with initial treatment for verrucae. We offer a variety of treatments to treat verrucae at The Vale Foot Clinic. These include traditional treatments such as the use of salicylic acids along with other methods such as cryotherapy and topical treatments such as ‘Verrutop’ that have been proven to be very effective when treating difficult warts and verruca.

Take advantage of a free foot analysis appointment at our Barry Clinic. We’ll put you onto our FootBalance machine to analyse your arch and foot type, producing your own customised report that can be printed off or emailed to you.
*Please note this service focuses on the mechanics of your feet and lower limbs. It is not a medical assessment and does not include treatment. It analyses your gait / foot type and will recommend insoles if they are needed.
