Contact us for a professional consultation and assessment that enables us to develop an individual, client centred treatment plan that caters for your needs.

We run a general and musculoskeletal clinic and offer nail surgery to patients that require this treatment. We are open from Monday to Friday and run a Saturday morning clinic along with a late Tuesday evening clinic. We can be contacted by telephone throughout the week and you can also contact us via email, Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp.

Our Treatments

We offer a variety of appointment types that treat a range of conditions of the feet and lower limbs.

Routine Appointments

A 40 minute appointment (1 hour for the 1st appointment) that treats a range of conditions which include, general nail cutting,  corns, hard skin, calluses and fungal infections such as athlete’s foot and fungal infection of the nail.

Musculoskeletal Appointments

An hour appointment to treat bio-mechanical conditions that affect the foot and lower limbs. Conditions such as plantar fasciitis and sports injuries are diagnosed and treated by our specialist, musculoskeletal podiatrists.

Ingrown toenails

Treatment for toenails that have grown into the surrounding skin. Big toes are often affected, either on one or both sides. Nails curl and pierce the skin, which becomes red, swollen and tender.

Verruca

A full consultation and assessment along with initial treatment for verrucae. We offer a variety of treatments to treat verrucae at The Vale Foot Clinic. These include traditional treatments such as the use of salicylic acids along with other methods such as cryotherapy and topical treatments such as ‘Verrutop’ that have been proven to be very effective when treating difficult warts and verruca.

Simply Nails

Nail only cutting service

Simply Nails is a new service for patients with low podiatry needs who only require a simple nail cutting service.

At the moment our Simply Nails cutting service is only available at our Barry Clinic.

Nail Surgery

Nail surgery is a small surgical operation which we undertake to help patients manage painful toe conditions such as ingrowing toe nails and involuted nails. We remove either part or all of the toenail manage these painful conditions.

We offer a range of flexible payment options for nail surgery at the Vale Foot Clinic that allow you to spread the cost of surgery over a number of months.

To be considered for nail surgery you need to be an existing patient who has visited us for a routine appointment. This allows us to assess whether you are suitable for the surgical procedure and to discuss treatment options with you.

Shockwave Therapy

Shockwave therapy is a clinically proven non invasive treatment for managing pain and rehabilitation from a variety of conditions and injuries. It reduces pain, stimulates blood flow and circulation and restarts the healing process. Shockwave therapy is used to treat chronic conditions such as plantar fasciitis and achilles tendinopathy that have not responded to traditional treatment and have been present for more than 3 months. For more information about Shockwave therapy at The Vale Foot Clinic please contact us.

Free 'Foot Analysis'

Fridays and Wednesdays are… ‘FREE FOOT ANALYSIS’ days in our Barry Clinic.

Have you ever experienced pain in your foot or heel?

Perhaps you’ve thought you may need insoles and would like to learn more about how they can have a positive effect on your overall foot health.
You may even just want to learn more about your personal foot type.

Take advantage of a free foot analysis appointment at our Barry Clinic. We’ll put you onto our FootBalance machine to analyse your arch and foot type, producing your own customised report that can be printed off or emailed to you.

*Please note this service focuses on the mechanics of your feet and lower limbs. It is not a medical assessment and does not include treatment. It analyses your gait / foot type and will recommend insoles if they are needed.

Custom moulded orthotics made to fit your feet when you make an appointment with us. FootBalance orthotics treat injuries and conditions that include patellofemoral pain, shin splints, achillies tendinopathy, plantar fasciitis, and stress fractures.

100% Control

FootBalance 100% Control is ideal for performance sports, where speed is important. The slim and tapered insole is specially designed for tight-fitting sport shoes and skates. It is a perfect choice for those who want dynamic support with a minimalist feel. The shaped balance plate is optimised for tight-fitting shoes and offers robust support. The insole features a narrow, stabilising heel cup for pressure off-loading, better energy transfer and added space. The extra thin construction brings better foot-to-shoe feel and contact with the ground. The width of the toe area is designed to accommodate a broad range of shoes. 100% Control helps distribute body weight more evenly, providing enhanced traction and faster acceleration.
For sport

100% Impact

It is perfect for any sport that demands skilled footwork or sudden, explosive foot movements that place strain on the feet and ankles. This insole offers excellent support and stability. It features increased shock absorption on the heel and ball of foot, which helps to reduce stress-related injuries. Heel cushioning has been specially designed to follow natural gait, whilst perforation under the toe area provides ventilation and assists drying the insoles.
